DOJ unveils multibillion-dollar healthcare fraud scheme

The Department of Justice unveiled charges against 300 defendants, alleging they misled patients into paying for, and sometimes receiving, medical care they did not need in a $14.6 billion healthcare fraud scheme.
The Department of Justice unveiled charges against 300 defendants, alleging they misled patients into paying for, and sometimes receiving, medical care they did not need in a $14.6 billion healthcare fraud scheme.

Each year a summary of findings is available to the public on the DOJ website. One hopes that with the development of AI tools and heightened software building the big "F" word will scare off most people from trying to defraud these programs. However, we all know that money is the root to most evil that humans cannot often turn away from.


The list of those professionals who were caught can be found in the above link. Remarkable the number of professionals who are listed that have thrown their careers away and now must live a life with a public record.
